Monivea Alley,no longer in use, is just off the main Monivea to Galway road at the edge of the village. The Alley had no back wall which meant that the ball used to go out onto the road but this was not a problem as traffic was not a problem back in the days when the alley was in use. The local community council have greatly improved the aesthetics of the alley with plants and flowers.
