This alleys (one 60x30 and one 40x20) at Croke Park were purpose-built for the 1970 handball World Championships. These alleys will shortly close down down with the opening of a new Handball Centre. The signatures were written on the front wall of the 60x30 court after the 2019 Senior Softball Singles Final. Some names added are deceased friends who were great Handball enthusiasts. two wall palques list the original sponsors who helped build the alley in 1970, and the Presidents of The Irish Handball Council up to 1996. This alley was used as a training base for Mohammed Ali prior to his big fight against Al Blue Lewis in Croke Park.
