This was the home alley of Pat Kirby and his brothers. Pat played some of his handball here and the rest in America. Over the years Pat won many titles including world titles and was recognised as one of best handballers ever.

Not only one of the best players ever, he was a wonderful coach. I attended a week long coaching course in Gormanstown College for 3 years in a row, 1977,78 and 79. I became a PE teacher and I can say that Pat Kirby would rank among all the best PE lecturers and top sports coaches that I have come across in my career.
