The alley was refurbished between 2008 - 2013 (new lighting system 2008, painted inside and new roof 2009, plastered outside 2012). In 2013 the handball club was up and running with 40 members and used every night for both handball and racquetball
The club was founded by Billy Pollard in 1950. Initially, it was a 3-wall alley built in late 1800's. It was roofed in 1972.
