Site was bought from Denis Flynn for £30. Built by Holian family.
Main Wall and Side Walls date from 1926. The Back Wall was added in 1940.
Walls are constructed from concrete and stone. The floor is concrete.
Height of Main Wall: 26' 6"
Width of Main Wall: 30'0"
Length of Side walls: 60'0"
Width of Walls: 0'10"
Lots of handball was played and it was very hard to get games. Lots of matchs and Co.finals took place here up to 1960. Local man, Paddy Flynn, was Senior chamption
Dances also took place in alley, and meetings, before local hall was built.
Currently local kids use it for soccer, tennis, hurling and some handball.
